Sukhoi again World Champions
The 2007 World Aerobatic Championships, held in Granada, Spain, were again a clean sweep for Sukhoi pilots, both from East and West.
Principal results were:
Ø Overall World Champion: Ramon Alonso – Sukhoi - using our M14R engine
Ø Overall Women’s World Champion – Svetlana Kapanina – Sukhoi
Ø Sukhoi pilots came first, third, fourth, fifth
Ø Zach Heffley won the gold medal for the freestyle sequence (the most demanding for pilot and machine) in an Su-26M aircraft, prepared under our supervision and with one of our M9F engines - the first one sold outside the Russian Team.
